Why Am I Not In Court?

Shit happens and when it does I just have to roll with the punches and hang on a little tighter. Things usually go as well as can be expected in this crazy Wonderland like world of mine. This is my one ride on the merry-go-round. I have to cling to the dizzying surface of our spinning blue ball just like everybody else.

Still, when my X dragged me back into court it couldn’t have been at a worse time. Today was day one out of two in Dept.18 at Family Law, April 19th, 9:00am. I was terrified but calm. Ready to break down when they called on me.

I have spent the last 6 days living and eating (practically) at my lawyers office getting ready for today. I kid you not, there is reasoning behind this insanity that remains to be seen.

Yesterday we were working like demons getting ready for today. (It takes a lot of work to do a trial!) We needed to be ready in the morning and it was already 4pm. Just as I thought we would all suffocate in paperwork the phone rang.

As one of the lawyers took the call everyone started gathering around the front desk one by one. I was dying to know what was up. He gets off the phone and gives us all a long look I couldn’t read. He says; "You are not going to believe this." As he does this a big smile spreads across his face. “That was the judge’s secretary, court is off until June or July. The judge had a personal emergency and can't be in court tomorrow.” We couldn't believe it!

I felt like someone had taken my stomach on the roller coaster at Great America without my brain. This hardly EVER happens. I was all ready for court tomorrow damn it!

So court was postponed. Was I lucky or would this make things worse when court resumes? To be truthful about today I’m just home doing NOTHING. I will be ready for the next date. At least I slept good last night with no worries about this world.

PS Thanx for the pouring out of love and good wishes, I call you all My Guardian Angels.

The World According To Americans

1270122lm5vfmv624

Us Americans can have some funny outlooks on the rest of the world at times as you can see from this chart. This is the response that was figured out after questioning different people on the streets in several states in the US for one day. The results were compiled, put on this chart and were done to be humorous, so have a good laff poking fun at our country and ourselves.

Sad but true. I think it’s pretty funny and whether it’s accurate or not. Have a great week!

To My Longtime Friends

Photobucket

I sincerely appreciate all of your thoughtful comments and/or signing of my Guestbook. I thank you for being good online friends. I’m so happy that our friendships have survived moving from our old Spaces to this new, much better place. Whether it be Blogger or Word Press, some of us have known each other online for a really long time now and my new friends and Followers have been delightful!

It’s not easy finding time to get online with everything that’s happening in our private lives and the state of our world right now. I have been insanely busy lately and on top of that my new smart phone (which I finally got all set up) dumped all of my contacts on me. All that info I rely on has to be put back in and the timing sucks but it has to be done. Such is life! Makes me question relying on my cell so much but it’s just such an awesome fun tool. Tee hee!

You, my online friends stay close to my heart none-the-less. I think about you quite a bit and am lucky to have you. If my spirits are down I can always find something; a message, a comment, an email, something you do to cheer me up and I love you for it. I just feel like people don’t tell each other enough or even at all about how much they mean to each other until it’s too late. Those little things that make you smile. Special things, like the weekend! TGIF and have a weekend full of wonderful things my friends! Bless you!

Walk All Over You

It’s Spring again and time to show off the cool new foot fashions for the upcoming hot season! These are some incredible, unusual shoe designs and each pair is it’s own piece of art. You must give credit to the designers of these shoes for their vivid imaginations and wild ideas. As Nancy Sinatra once wrote; “And one of the these days these boots are gonna walk all over you! “

Pretty silly but such fun to look at what other people come up with when given one subject, such as ‘shoes.’ Which one is your favorite pair?

Bring Alice To Life-From The American McGee's Alice Video Game

A friend of mine who liked my web site and the American McGee’s Alice video game made me this and it’s very good. She did this all herself and has a lovely voice! She also put a lot of great screen images from the game into this video. She did an excellent job making it and I was amazed at how good it is to watch so I had to share it with you. I love the song she uses for the video and she does an awesome job singing it. She also uploaded it on YouTube, it’s by ladystormannie on Aug 26, 2009. Follow her link to hear more of her singing on YouTube.

She put her picture at the end of the video so you can see who did it. All I have to say is; “Thank you and I hope you are doing really well! If you see this say hello will you? It’s been awhile since we have been in contact and I would like to know how you are doing since Windows Live got rid of our blog sites. I wish you well my thoughtful friend! Big hugs!”

Ladystormannie also used the song I love that Evanescence did called “Bring Me To Life.” She sings the girl’s part and does a fine job of it! She calls this take-off of the song, “Bring Alice To Life” which is very fitting as the video game is full of cool puzzles and violence in a very warped Wonderland.

Once Upon A Time By Jeffrey Scott Campbell

Jeffrey Scott Campbell is an American comic book artist. He rose to fame as an artist for Wild Storm Comics, though he has since done work for Marvel Comics, and the video game industry.

Here we see some of his collection of fairy tale princesses that he put his own spin on; but Campbell’s princess, unlike the previously mentioned are provocative, challenging and sexy girls.

You could say that Campbell provides the updated opportunity for adults to enjoy the artwork of Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and more of your favorite Disney characters done “Campbell style.”

He did a calendar like this which is what most of these pictures are from. Who said Disney couldn’t be sexy?

This was done in a popular Tom Petty music video. At the end they eat her like a cake. Do you remember it?
